Orlando based Geocove, Inc. to present disaster recovery strategies at National Hurricane Conference in Atlanta

ORLANDO Fla. --- Geocove, Inc. an Orlando firm that provides GIS software and strategic support to government agencies, has been invited to present new disaster management strategies at the National Hurricane Conference at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta April 20.

Karyn Tareen, president and chief executive officer at Geocove, said the invitation represents a major opportunity for the five year old technology firm to demonstrate its ARM360 software suite products, which enable disaster relief organizations to assess damages quickly and efficiently.

Tareen said Osceola County Emergency Management Coordinator Richard Halquist will accompany the Geocove team to the conference and assist in their presentation Wednesday from 3:30-5 p.m. – “Extending the Capabilities of Emergency Management with GIS.”

Osceola County Emergency Management is one of Geocove’s many damage assessment clients, Tareen said.

Geocove’s ARM360 is proven technology, Tareen said.

“We have field tested it for more than five years. It’s very user-friendly and the system can be installed and fully operational in as little as five days, with complete training for users,” Tareen said. “We can do it even faster if hosting is preferred,” she added.

When disaster strikes, damage assessments and reporting are the most immediate tasks facing disaster management officials. ARM360 leverages technology to enable quick, reliable damage assessments and accurate reports for FEMA and other reporting agencies.
