Providence Golf Course Community in Polk County Hopes for Fourth Award as Best Community in Central Florida Parade of Homes

PROVIDENCE, Fla. --- Providence Golf & Country Club in the Loughman-Davenport area of Polk County has its eyes on a unique prize: Best Community Award in the Central Florida Parade of Homes, which starts April 2.

David Kohn, president of ABD Development Company, which is developing Providence, said the luxury community has won the Parade’s “Best Community” award for the past three years. A fourth year will set a record that will be difficult to beat, Kohn said.

The 1,800 acre luxury community features a championship 18 hole golf course designed by premiere architect Michael Dasher, a family-oriented fitness and aquatic center, an elaborate golf clubhouse with pro shop, lounge and restaurant that seats up to 200 people, lighted tennis courts, and two swimming pools – a resort-style pool for social activities and a lap pool for exercising.

Kohn said ABD also plans to enter its Courtyard model home at Heritage Green in the Parade.

The 4,200 square foot Courtyard model home features its own interior courtyard along with four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a loft and a bonus room, both of which can serve as additional bedrooms. The Courtyard model home is priced in the $650,000 range.
