ORLANDO, Fla., -- Mikaela Nix, founder and president of Collegiate Staffing USA, which links star graduates with employers in a wide range of fields, will be a featured speaker at the conference for Empowered Women on Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Hilton Hotel in Altamonte Springs.
Nix, who graduated from Florida A & M College of Law in Downtown Orlando and was recently admitted to the Florida Bar, also serves as adjunct professor at both Seminole State College in Lake Mary and Valencia College in Orlando.
“It always amazes me when I speak at women conferences around the state to meet accomplished, ambitious women who are unsure of their capabilities,” Nix said.
“Too many women have been imbued with the idea that they aren’t experts in their fields or expert enough. “Empowered” refers to increasing the spiritual, political, social and economic strength of individuals and communities. It helps women develop confidence in their own capacities,” Nix explained.
Nix said her presentation at the conference for Empowered Women will help inform, motivate and inspire individuals who want to give their business a creative boost.
Nix is chair of the University of Central Florida’s Alumni Association’s Black Alumni Chapter and a frequent speaker in women’s organizations.
