ORLANDO, Fla. --- InternEdge has launched a new web site that links Central Florida area college and university students with local companies that offer student workers traditional internships, part-time jobs, full-time jobs, seasonal employment, contracts for services and other career-starting opportunities.
Michael W. O’Donnell and Adam H. Singh, Founders and Managing Partners at InternEdge, said area college and university students face an increasingly competitive job market today and practical experience can provide a head start down a career path.
“InternEdge.com links students with opportunities for hands-on experience that will give them an edge in the job market when they graduate,” Singh said.
Students subscribe to InternEdge.com on a per month basis. The fees are modest--- from an introductory level that’s free to the costliest premium level at only $20 per month.
For employers, access is free, Singh explained.
“InternEdge serves companies in all fields seeking eager, talented young up-and-comers and willing to provide them with experience and opportunity,” Singh explained. “We’re a one-stop resource for qualified and motivated career-minded interns and other student workers,” he said.
InternEdge student subscribers are equipped with an intuitive technology platform that is integrated with social media, mobile accessible, and serves up a range of tools to help subscribers take advantage of their new opportunities.
“All our Student Subscriber Plans offer professional development tools, career planning tools, resume submissions and expert advice,” Singh said. Premium Plan Subscribers can expand services to add access to company contacts directory and video introductions.
Singh said InternEdge plans to expand to South Florida in early 2012 and nationally by the end of 2012.
InternEdge is a member of the University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program located the Central Florida Research Park in East Orange County.
