Legends Golf and Country Club in Clermont reports attendance at summer golf camp for kids

CLERMONT, Fla. – Legends Golf and Country Club in Clermont reports it enjoyed record attendance at its summer camp for young golfers this summer.

Jay Scruggs, general manager at Legends Golf Club, said more than 60 young people ages five to 12 participated in the week-long camp.

Head golf instructor Mike Corrigan worked with the campers.

“It’s great to get with the youngest golfers, when you can mold their habits in a way that could stick with them all their lives,” Corrigan said.

“We focused on fundamentals of the game and the culture of etiquette and integrity that are so endemic to golf,” Scruggs added.

Scruggs said Legends will offer after-school and weekend golf clinics for junior golfers aged five to 12 starting in September.
