Association of Change Management Professionals establishes world headquarters in Winter Springs, Florida
Winter Springs, Fla. --- The Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP) has a new headquarters in Winter Springs, and is expanding its membership and member services to advance the profession and discipline of change management.
Linn Wheeling, CAE, executive director said, “ACMP is a professional membership organization committed to the establishment and advancement of change management as a profession. Efforts are currently underway to develop a global standard for change management and accompanying credential and body of knowledge.”
Within its first two years, ACMP has engaged over 1,500 change management professionals in over 15 countries around the world.
“Our membership reflects change leaders from a variety of organizations, including public and privately held corporations, education, government, and non-profits who are committed to improving the global economy through effective change within their organizations and communities. These professionals work in consulting, human resources, project management, information technology, marketing, and more,” Wheeling explained
As part of this effort, ACMP announced it will host a global conference for change management professionals on April 14-17, 2013 in Los Angeles. This global conference entitled “Lights, Camera, Change: Producing Results in a Global Economy” will bring together change management professionals for three days of education sessions focused on various aspects of change management, thought-provoking keynote speakers, networking opportunities and idea sharing sessions. The 2012 Global Conference held in Las Vegas had more than 800 attendees.
“The Association of Change Management Professionals empowers change management professionals to lead the people side of change, ensuring the needs of infrastructure, systems, culture, and personnel are addressed in a way that reflects positively on the bottom line of the organization. These are results-driven leaders who will move economic growth forward,” Wheeling said.
