Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge Hosts More Than 8,000 Participants at Annual PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day

Winter Garden, Fla. --- Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Winter Garden hosted more than 8,000 visitors during its annual PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day last weekend. Tano Malentin, general manager at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge, said this year’s Demo Day crowd was bigger than ever, and so were the celebrities on hand for the event, including Ken Griffey Jr., Nick Faldo, Michael Breed, Hank Haney, Lexi Thompson, Jesper Parnevik, and Alonzo Mourning, to name a few. “Demo Day is a chance for PGA Professionals, Tour Pros, golf club manufacturers, golf instructors and golf industry professionals from around the world to touch and test the very latest golfing and golf course equipment, accessories and technology on the golf course. It’s different from a showroom or a trade show in that the grass is green and the course is one of the best in the U.S.,” Malentin said. Vendors offered an enormous array of equipment and accessories. The PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day is Orange County National’s biggest annual event. The same holds true for many of the golfing professionals and enthusiasts who attend. “Most of these people make their living in the golf industry, so the PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day becomes a multi-million dollar marketplace of ideas and technologies,” said Michael J. Neumann, retail and marketing manager for Orange County National.
