Local Health Food Company Partners with Faith-Based KeHE Distributors

DeLand, Fla. – DeLand Bakery & Natural Market a certified organic and gluten free bakery has announced a business partnership with KeHE Distributors, a faith-based supply chain partner located in Naperville, Ill. KeHE, the largest privately owned wholesale distributor of health and natural food products in the natural products industry, has relationships with numerous health food stores around the nation. Last month, they acquired Nature’s Best, a California-based distributor of health and natural food products. Its partnership with DeLand Bakery & Natural Market is intended to help the 25-year-old DeLand company expand and receive national recognition, according to Connie Bernal√, site manager of the UCF Business Incubator in Daytona Beach. “Hopefully, this new enterprise will increase our incubator client’s sales across the country,” she said. When the DeLand Bakery joined the incubator program in 2012 there were 49 employees, Bernal said. Now they employ 62 people and the plan is to continue hiring as the sales grow. Located at 933 N. Woodland Blvd., the company is the healthy place to go for everything from organic, ethnic, kosher and gluten-free food to natural beauty and household products and cleaners to healthful pet foods and supplies. The 42,000 square foot superstore also features an on-site deli and, of course, an aromatic bakery.
