M/I Homes to Open its First Lake County Energy Star® Model Home at Serenity at RedTail in Sorrento

ORLANDO, Fla. --- M/I Homes will open its first Lake County Energy Star® Model Home in March at Serenity at RedTail in Sorrento. David Byrnes, area president, said every home M/I Homes builds in Florida is Energy Star® Certified as having met high standards for energy efficiency and environmental quality. “It means we strictly adhere to a rigorous design, engineering and construction protocol with standards that only 20 percent of new homes built in America today can meet,” Byrnes said. Those standards translate to major benefits for home buyers, Byrnes said. “Compared to a house built to code, EnergyStar® standards can save the home owner as much as 30 percent on energy bills,” Byrnes explained. “Best of all, while the home buyer saves money, we’re saving valuable resources for the good of our planet,” Byrnes said. Byrnes said M/I Homes plans to build 69 new homes at Serenity at RedTail, located at the RedTail Golf and Country Club community on State Road 46 in Sorrento. Eight different floor plans offer three to seven bedrooms and three to five baths, and will range from 2,300 square feet of living area to 5,400 square feet. Only 75-foot and 90-foot wide home sites are available, and prices range from $299,990 to the mid-$600s. Byrnes said 22 home sites offer views of the RedTail Golf Course, a 7,152-yard links-style course designed by Dave Harman. For more information visit mihomes.com.
