NAI Realvest Negotiates Lease Expansion, Renewal for Palmano’s Café on Park Ave. in Winter Park
ORLANDO, Fla. - NAI Realvest recently negotiated a new lease expansion and renewal for Palmano’s Café, located at 333 Park Ave. South at the intersection of Lyman Ave. in downtown Winter Park.
NAI Realvest principal Christie Alexander and George Livingston, chairman emeritus of the firm, negotiated the long-term lease agreement representing Palmano’s Café. Patti Jackson of the Bradley Corporation represented the landlord.
The new lease agreement expands Palmano’s Café by 700 square feet of space, with interior seating in addition to existing outdoor seating, Alexander said.
Palmano’s plans to add a dinner menu. The roastery, wine and coffee bar currently serves breakfast and lunch.

Park Plaza Gardens Restaurant and Café introduces new Summer Martini Menu that includes signature dessert cocktails
WINTER PARK, Fla. — Park Plaza Gardens Restaurant & Café in downtown Winter Park has introduced a new Summer Martini Menu that includes delectable dessert cocktails such as Chocolate Covered Strawberry (Bacardi Dragonberry strawberry rum, Godiva chocolate liqueur, Bailey’s and a splash of milk garnished with a chocolate covered strawberry) and Caramel Apple Martini (Absolut vodka, Sour Apple Pucker, Butterscotch Schnapps and a caramel covered apple slice.)
Manager Daniel McGaughey said the new Summer Martini Menu features old favorites with a new twist, including a Cajun Bloody Mary served with Zing Zang and a Cajun jumbo prawn, and Park Plaza Gardens’ Kickin’ Ice Tea.
“We have a very friendly happy hour crowd and they are turning our sidewalk café into a popular evening institution,” said Ron Schwartz, a principal at the restaurant.
“Our new Summer Martini Menu was designed to help them all make new friends,” Schwartz added.
Newcomers to the popular hangout are encouraged to start their evening off with Marilynn’s Flirtini, a mix of Grey Goose, Triple Sec, cranberry juice, fresh lemon and sugar, topped with a splash of champagne.
“It will make you want to talk to people,” McGaughey said.

The streetside café, which opens at 11 a.m. daily, 10 a.m. Sunday, will close at 10 p.m. instead of 12 on Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday during the summer.
The dining room will be closed Sunday and Monday nights, but will still open for Sunday Brunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and for lunch Monday–Saturday 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner Tuesday through Saturday 6 to 10 p.m.

Park Plaza Gardens Restaurant & Café Sends 10 Staff Members on Educational Tour of Napa Valley Wineries
WINTER PARK, Fla. - Park Plaza Gardens Restaurant and Café in downtown Winter Park recently sent 10 staff members on educational tours of Napa Valley wineries in California.
Ron Diaz, general manager at Park Plaza Gardens, said the Napa Valley trip was a reward to the staff in a wine sales competition reflecting their performance, and the tours are an important part of Park Plaza Gardens’ service.

“We pride ourselves in offering our patrons one of the area’s most distinguished wine cellars and highly knowledgeable wine service,” Diaz said. “Our staff is always being trained in the art of selling wine and food pairing.”
Some 10 wineries in the Napa Valley area were visited. Silver Oak, Markham, Rombauer, Honig, Opus One, Miner in Napa; Korbel and Arrowood in Sonoma; Langtry in Middletown, and Stonestreet in Alexander Valley.
“We want our servers and staff members to know their way around the finest wines and the best way to teach them is at the wineries,” he said.
Diaz said the trip included VIP treatment at each winery and full tours focused on the process of wine making plus a small course on wine varietals. A two-day stop over in San Francisco for sightseeing and fine dining was also a highlight of the winning trip, Diaz said.

Park Plaza Gardens Restaurant & Café Introduces New Summer Hours
WINTER PARK, Fla. --- Park Plaza Gardens Restaurant & Café at 319 Park Ave. S. in downtown Winter Park has announced new hours for the summer season.
Principal Ron Schwartz said through the summer months, the Park Plaza Gardens dining room will be closed Sunday and Monday nights, but will still open for Sunday Brunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and for lunch Monday–Saturday 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner Tuesday through Saturday 6 to 10 p.m.
The café at Park Plaza, which opens at 11 a.m. daily, 10 a.m. Sunday, will close at 10 p.m. instead of 12 on Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday during the summer.

Park Plaza Gardens to Offer Economic Stimulus Menus in May With Three Course Meals at a Special Price
WINTER PARK, Fla. - Park Plaza Gardens Restaurant at 319 Park Avenue South in downtown Winter Park is offering special Economic Stimulus Menus in May.
Ron Schwartz, a principal at Park Plaza Gardens, said Chef John Tan has created a special three-course menu priced at $29.95 on any day during the month of May that includes soups, salads and choice of pork tenderloin, grilled chicken breast or fresh catch filets.
A separate Stimulus Menu featuring tenderloin of beef is offered every Sunday and Monday during May for $29.95, Schwartz said.

“Successful people like to socialize, but we don’t consume as much as we used to,” Schwartz said. “Instead, we choose tastier, more innovative and more imaginative cocktails, and Park Plaza Gardens is offering some of the best,” he said.
