Downtown Orlando Penthouse, 20,000 Square Foot Events Center at The Plaza North Tower is open for a variety of occasions
Sarah Woodbery, coordinator of the Downtown Orlando Penthouse Events Center, said a 10,000 square foot sky terrace/outdoor patio with a bar and a putting green is included, and serves as an excellent and exclusive venue for weddings, receptions, private holiday parties, networking and fundraising events.
The center includes an executive boardroom with conference table that seats 20, with full food and beverage service available.
“The Downtown Orlando Penthouse Events Center offers a well-appointed facility for both formal events and business meetings, with garage parking and excellent services,” Woodbery explained.
Since opening the Downtown Orlando Penthouse Events Center dozens of events have taken place, including the Florida Music Festival and the Florida Film Festival.

Lennar to Host La Tamborrada Spanish Musical Festival at Heritage Hills in Clermont
David Parker, director of sales and marketing Lennar’s Central Florida Division in the Orlando area, said the La Tamborrada Festival is major international cultural event every year in San Sebastian, Spain, that includes music, dancing, and Spanish foods.
“La Tamborrada is an historic Latin music festival with a tremendous musical theme that centers on drums,” Parker explained. “We are hosting a Latin orchestra and many Spanish delicacies to enjoy,” he said.
Admission to the La Tamborrada festival is free, Parker said. La Tamborrada will be held from Noon to 3 p.m. in the ballroom at the new Heritage Hills community clubhouse, an 18,900 square foot facility that includes a swimming pool, lighted tennis courts, fitness center, billiards room, aerobics studio, bocce ball courts, a vineyard and olive grove park, fitness walking trails, bike trails, golf simulator and social director.
“We like to invite everyone in the Orlando region to come tour the Heritage Hills clubhouse and enjoy the music, dancing, and foods,” Parker said.
Many new homes at Heritage Hills are eligible for $8,000 and $6,500 U.S. tax credit incentives for new homebuyers and qualified existing homeowners, Parker added.

Downtown Avalon Park to host Oktoberfest Oct. 17 with Live Entertainment, Dance, Beer Garden, Children’s Activities
ORLANDO, Fla. - Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Downtown Avalon Park will feature live entertainment, dance performances, authentic German foods by the German American Club, a beer garden and a root beer garden for kids, said Stephanie Hodson, marketing coordinator at Avalon Park Group.
The annual tradition begins with a Beer Garden preview on Friday, Oct. 16, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday events will include Schuplattler Alpenrose Dancing, live music by Europa, a yodeling contest, chicken dance contest, stein holding contest and more, Hodson said.
The German American Club of Central Florida will be providing traditional German foods throughout the event.
Admission to the event is free, Hodson said.

Park Plaza Gardens Restaurant & Café Introduces New Summer Hours
WINTER PARK, Fla. --- Park Plaza Gardens Restaurant & Café at 319 Park Ave. S. in downtown Winter Park has announced new hours for the summer season.
Principal Ron Schwartz said through the summer months, the Park Plaza Gardens dining room will be closed Sunday and Monday nights, but will still open for Sunday Brunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and for lunch Monday–Saturday 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner Tuesday through Saturday 6 to 10 p.m.
The café at Park Plaza, which opens at 11 a.m. daily, 10 a.m. Sunday, will close at 10 p.m. instead of 12 on Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday during the summer.

More Than 400 Residents at Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club Participate In Annual Music in The Park
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - More than 400 residents turned out for the annual Music in the Park event recently at Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club in Ormond Beach.
Greg Brousse, managing director of Plantation Bay, said the turnout was the highest on record.
“Residents enjoyed the sounds of RiverDan Band and Ormond Beach’s Hershey’s Ice Cream Company and Papa’s Kettle Korn,” Brousse said.
Snickers the Clown was on hand to entertain the children, Brousse added.

Avalon School of Music Launches Summer Music Camps
ORLANDO, Fla. – Avalon School of Music at Avalon Park in east Orlando has launched a series of music summer camps to offer children of all ages one-week immersion sessions with full-day professional instruction that includes snacks and lunch.
Stephanie Hodson, marketing coordinator at Avalon Park, said the one-week camps cost $275 per student.
Camp themes include Rock Guitar and Exploration, Rock Band, Drums and Percussion, Song writing, and Pop singing, Hodson said. The Camps will be held at all three of the school’s locations with full details available at www.AvalonMusicCenter.com/summer2009.asp
