Cuhaci & Peterson Architects Win Contract To Design Interior For Cupcake Crazy Store at Stoneybrook West Village in Winter Garden

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, LLC based in Orlando’s Baldwin Park, was selected to design the interior of the new Cupcake Crazy retail store at Stoneybrook West Village, located at Stoneybrook West Parkway in Winter Garden.

Lonnie Peterson, chairman of the architectural firm, said the Cupcake Crazy story will occupy 1,800 square feet of retail space at Stoneybrook West.

Dr. Tom O’Neal Named National Business Incubation Assn. Secretary, Executive Board Member

ORLANDO – Dr. Tom O’Neal, founder and executive director of the University of Central Florida’s Business Incubation Program was recently appointed secretary for the National Business Incubation Association, the business incubation industry’s leading U.S. trade association.

Dr. O’Neal was also appointed to the 25-year-old association’s executive board.

Since launching the UCF Business Incubation program at the University’s east Orlando campus in 1999, the program has expanded to include incubator sites in Orlando, Sanford, Winter Springs, Kissimmee, St. Cloud and Leesburg, and plans to open a new site at the Daytona Beach International Airport in May.

Dr. O’Neal has said that business incubation is a fast-growing tool to develop local economies that will accelerate their growth and job creation.

Currently, The UCF Business Incubation Program serves close to 100 client companies and ranks as one of the largest incubation programs in the U.S.

Since its launch the UCF Business Incubation Program has helped more than 150 client company startups, Dr. O’Neal said.

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects awarded interior renovations contract at Loop West in Kissimmee

ORLANDO - Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, LLC based in Orlando’s Baldwin Park, have been awarded a contract for interior renovations at the Loop West, a lifestyle center being developed by The Wilder Companies of Boston.

Renovations, according to Chairman Lonnie Peterson of Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, will total 4,600 square feet at the facility located on Osceola and John Young Parkways in Kissimmee.

American Society of Interior Designers Awards Gribble Interior Group of Orlando Two Coveted First Place Prizes for Adaptive Reuse, Individual Space


ORLANDO Fla. --- The Florida North Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers recently awarded Gribble Interior Group of Orlando two First Place prizes in the ASID 2009 Design Competition at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando.

Gribble Interior Group took First Place honors in the Adaptive Reuse and the Individual Space award categories.

Alice Gribble ASID, Grant Gribble ASID, IIDA and Linda Hartmann ASID were present to accept the awards.

“We are very excited about the awards,” said Grant Gribble, co-founder and partner of Gribble Interior Group.

“Competitive awards and the recognition of our peers are important benchmarks in our industry and we worked very hard to excel,” he said.

With more than 40,000 members, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) ranks as the oldest and largest professional association for interior designers. The Florida North chapter includes more than 800 members from Vero Beach to Jacksonville and the entire Florida panhandle.

Avalon Park Group Appoints Nationally-Renowned Interior Designer for State-of-the-Art Adult Independent, Assisted Living Facilities

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Avalon Park Group has appointed a nationally-renowned interior designer to plan interior features, appointments and color schemes in the new state-of-the-art independent adult and assisted living facilities under development in downtown Avalon Park.

Ross Halle, Town Planner at Avalon Park, said he appointed Bonnie Manson, president of Interior Design Associates, Inc., of Nashville as interior designer for the facilities.

Manson, who has more than 28 years of experience in interior design, has earned numerous national and regional design awards and specializes in adult and senior care facilities.

Avalon Park’s adult independent and assisted living facilities are scheduled to start construction next summer. The first phase, planned to be 100,000 square feet, will facilitate assisted living and memory care, and is projected to cost approximately $20 million.

“Interior design for adult living facilities is a critical element and a highly specialized skill,” Halle said.

“Color schemes, textures, furnishings and even layout are essential,” Halle added

BDG Construction Services Awarded Contract to Complete Interior Construction of Scottrade Offices in Ormond Beach

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. --- BDG Construction Services, LLC based in Winter Springs, was recently awarded a contract to complete interior construction of the Scottrade offices located on W. Grenada Rd. in Ormond Beach.

Kevin Guffee, a principal at BDG Construction Services, LLC, said the 2,000 square foot tenant buildout will take approximately 30 days to complete at an estimated cost of $18 per square foot.

BDG renovates and builds commercial facilities throughout Florida. Recent clients include The City of Winter Springs, Calvert Manufacturing of Longwood, Wal-mart Stores of Bentonville, Ark. and RP Realty Partners of Beverly Hills, Calif.
