PROVIDENCE, Fla. --- Providence Golf and Country Club located south of Orlando off U.S. 17-92 is nearing completion of bunker renovations to its 18-hole championship golf course.
Tim Greco, general manager of the Providence Golf Course, said the most recent phase of work includes resurfacing 12 bunkers on the Par-72 course.
Greco, who won the Crown Award for Excellence in Club Management Practices in 2004 and took over as general manager of Providence Golf Course in 2009, has more than 15 years of experience in golf course management.
Golfweek magazine has ranked Providence Golf Course among the top 50 golf courses in Florida.
Greco said Providence will host the Haines City Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on April 20. The New Church of Faith will sponsor its first annual charity golf tournament April 21 to benefit the New Church of Faith’s scholarship fund.
Providence will also host the Circle Christian School Inc Golf Tournament this September for the fourth year in a row.
