Savage Race Returns to Central Florida with More Obstacles and Mud

ORLANDO, Fla. — Savage Race, an Orlando-based mud/obstacle events company, returns to Central Florida Saturday March 10 with more than 20 obstacles for runners to face. From an adult slip n’ slide, to an ice plunge, evil monkey bars, barbed wire, and fire – Savage Race: Central Florida 2012 is truly built to “kick your ass.”

Savage Race is a full-day 4.2 mile obstacle course that is hosting its second event in Central Florida at Revolution the Off Road Experience. Savage Race’s first event, which was hosted at the same venue, brought over 3,500 participants/spectators and had an economic impact in Lake County of over $250,000.

“I think the race was an amazing success. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to show off the property to so many people who may not have known about us,” said Kevin Jowett, owner of Revolution the Off Road Experience. “People were so excited about the race!”

This full-day event includes not only a race, but also live DJ and band, food, beer, and a festival atmosphere. Participants are highly encouraged to register as a team, and dressing up in costume is customary. As a part of the awards ceremony – which is presented to the top overall male/female and top three in each age group male/female – participants will have a chance to win an award for “the most savage costume”.

Participants can register for Savage Race at www.savagerace.com. Prices vary depending on registering as a team or individual and prices increase the closer it gets to event day. Spectators can come out and watch the event for free!
