USAA names Kissimmee firm founder Military Blogger of the Month

KISSIMMEE, Fla. --- Javier Rodriguez, founder of GI Money, a startup company based in Kissimmee that serves military families, was named the January Military Blogger of the Month by USAA, an insurance and financial services company specializing in the military community.

Javier Rodriguez, founder of GI Money, a University of Central Florida Business Incubator company, said his firm is developing a financial education web portal for “our troops and their families, who have sacrificed so much for my family.” GI Money is designed to deliver first class content in support of the unique challenges faced by today’s military family.

“We have thousands of men and women returning home to the US who deserve resources and our support to help them in this transition,” Rodriguez said.

“GI Money was created as that resource, to help veterans ease into a quality life which we owe them, after fighting for our nation and preserving the liberties we enjoy as a nation,” he added.
