TAMPA, Fla. --- Ryland Homes has promoted Bob Gibbons to vice president of construction in the Tampa Bay Division.
Joe Fontana, president of Ryland Homes in Tampa, said Gibbons earned his degree from Widener University in Chester, Pa., where he played football and earned academic honors, a spot on the dean’s list and his highest honor — the designation of distinguished military graduate.
After graduation, Gibbons joined the U.S. Army as an infantry officer and was promoted to Captain while commanding troops in Kuwait. He joined Ryland Homes in January of 2000 as a homebuilder.
“Bob Gibbons has been instrumental in our continued growth over the past several years and he is a key member of our management team, Fontana said.
Gibbons is a certified building contractor and also serves as an OSHA authorized outreach trainer and an active member of the Tampa Bay Builders Assn. Government Affairs Committee.
